Vocational programs
In 2022, to further advance our mission, we introduced a technical training program in partnership with the Caterpillar Foundation and Congo Equipment. This program trained young people in engineering mechanics, welding, and other technical-oriented skills that provide immediate employment to trainees.
Program highlights
-

Equal Opportunities
40% of our technical students were female (well above the industry average). Through these programs, young women are breaking gender stereotypes, gaining independence, and building the skills and confidence to thrive in careers traditionally dominated by men.
-
Local partnerships, local impact
To strengthen local talent and create sustainable employment, we collaborate with local organizations to provide internships and job placements for our trainees. This approach not only gives students hands-on experience but also reduces dependence on international staff, helping to build a skilled workforce rooted in the community.

A new chapter for our youth
This summer, we’re expecting 600 individuals to pass their certifications. From plumbing to advanced IT, mechanics to catering, these young adults are eshaping the future of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
