sports for development
Sport is a core element of community life: it has the power to unite people and cultivate a sense of belonging and collaboration. Our Sport for Social Good program uses sports to teach young people about everyday issues, from HIV/AIDS to gender equality and conflict resolution.
Program highlights
-

football with fifa
The football pitch at our Community Center—made possible by FIFA as part of the 2010 World Cup legacy project in South Africa—stands as the heart of Kalebuka. It brings young people together to play while strengthening bonds and building pride across the community.
-

Representing the drc
We nurture talent by connecting our students with world-class support and training from global athletes and clubs. This investment in skill and confidence has unlocked incredible opportunities—this year alone, nine of our girls proudly represented the DRC on the national football team.

Sport for peace award
In 2023, we were the recipient of the Peace Through Sport Initiative Of the Year Award. We are proud to be recognized for our efforts in promoting peace through sport.
